We are excited about the next few months and the many things going on in Atlanta. We are also delighted to see what is happening with the Phoenix Center of Evangelism on the campus of ASU. We have decided to use one website for all evangelism center activity. There are 4 centers soon to be opened and the Atlanta location is soon to launch a Thrift Location that will help fund local and international projects.

What is next at the Atlanta Center of Evangelism?

I pray the Lord has blessed you with a great start to a new year. I feel as though we have been missing out with lack of meetings over the last few months at the Evangelism Center. I pray God will continue to lead us as we prepare for Health Seminars starting very soon.

I know I have said soon for a while now but as of last Sunday, 20 Leaders were trained to teach Gospel Medical Missionary Classes by MEET Ministry. They are ready to train and are preparing their schedule as we speak. The details on that I will forward along as soon as I get them. We hope to do some big weekend events in the next few months as well as more classes.

For all of you that sacrifically gave financially to the Center last year, the Lakeview SDA Church is currently sending out the tax reciepts. You should be recieving those very soon in the mail.

Thank you again for your continued support. I am happy to share with you that the Phoenix Center of Evangelism on the campus of Arizona State is in full swing and they are planning some exciting things. I also have been told this past week that the Center of Evangelism in Los Angeles is coming together and should launch in the next few months. And last but not least, there is a team coming together in Orlando that have seen the joy of what we experienced here in Atlanta and are looking to see what God has in store for them. Keep praying that God will supply our needs and that he will lead us.

Last weekend at the Lakeview SDA church, I had the pleasure of sharing with the world the blessings of the Atlanta Center of Evangelism on 3ABN. I challenged all who were watching and listening to get into the Lord's work while there is time. That time is now. God is leading.

I am happy to share with you that there are a few things in the works for us in Atlanta that I look forward to sharing with you very soon.

Elder Thomas Jackson @ Questview Seventh-day Adventist Company this Sabbath, January 9

Dr. Thomas Jackson of M.E.E.T. Ministry will be speaking this Sabbath, January 9 at the Questview Seventh-day Adventist Company. Sabbath School starts at 11am and the Divine Hour Service starts at 12:30pm. Elder Jackson will share his testimony for Sabbath School and a special message for the Divine Hour.

Dr. Jackson and his wife LaVerne are co-founders of M.E.E.T. Ministry, a full-time training school and wellness center located in Huntingdon, Tennessee. After a 10 year battle with debilitating arthritis that cut short his pursuit of a professional basketball career, Dr. Jackson turned to the Bible and discovered the secret of healthful living. The Jackson's are a gospel medical missionary team conducting health seminars worldwide. These seminars focus on true health and happiness according to Biblical principles.

There are some business leaders that have expressed a desire to share information regarding practical skills that would be a blessing to many. Beginning on Tuesday Evening, December 15, 2009, we will host our first meeting.

Email: Taking You to the Next Level

Brian Bergherm, President of Georgia Home Theater, will be teaching our first course. The class will cover how to use email more effectively in the business world and also on a personal level. If you or someone you know has a desire to learn to use email to your advantage, then we invite to join us for this meeting.

We will start promptly at 7pm and the class will be approximately 1 1/2 hours. This will be for beginners and those who manage 100 or more emails per day.

Space is limited and will only allow for only 20 spots so that each student can have their specific questions answered. Please RSVP to atlantaevangelism@gmail.com to reserve your spot. It will be on a first come first serve basis.

Based on the response, we will continue this in the future on a weekly basis.

We want to wish you and yours a wonderful Thanksgiving. God is so good to us and it is a pleasure to be apart of His Work on the earth.

There will be no meetings this weekend but here are a few of the upcoming items on the calendar. If you feel the Lord has laid it on your heart to teach at the Center, please let us know.

Dr. Thomas Jackson of M.E.E.T. Ministry will be speaking this Sabbath, October 31 at the Mount Pisgah Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Divine Hour Service starts at 11am.

Directions: If driving north from Atlanta or Marietta, take I-75 north to Exit #273-Wade Green Road. Turn right on Wade Green Road. Go to the third traffic light and turn right onto Wooten Lake Road. The church is approximately one-half mile on the left. Mount Pisgah SDA meets in the Christ Episcopal Church.

David Gates will be speaking at the Atlanta North Seventh-Day Adventist Church - Wednesday, October 28 at 7pm. David is a Mission Pilot, Mechanic and Nurse with Gospel Ministries International. He will share missionary encounters from around the globe and a special message as we prepare for the soon return of our Lord and Savior.

Meeting This Friday Night-October 16, 2009 @ 7pm

1. You are invited to study God's word at the Atlanta Center of Evangelism, Friday October 16th at 7pm. I have learned something lately that has been a huge blessing. There are many times when we wonder whether we should go to church, to prayer meeting, to the Center of Evangelism etc. but I want to give you some encouraging words. God will work if we are in a place where the Holy Spirit is. We should take advantage while we still have our freedoms in this wonderful country to come together and seek the Lord to teach us through His Spirit.

2. Recently some classes were started to train a group of 'Trainers' for the Medical Missionary work here locally. As many of you remember, a few months back, Elder Thomas Jackson came and many people signed up to learn the Medical Missionary work. It has taken time to implement a plan with the re-location of the center and finalizing a curriculum for our program.

It is our desire to begin a Three Phased program in the month of December that will cover Medical, Literature and Gospel Missionary training. It has been and will continue to be our goal to provide each person training that has a desire to Learn and Work for the Lord. The Center of Evangelism will be working under the M.E.E.T. Ministry Curriculum and we are currently training a small team that will teach this curriculum during the Three Phased program. The initial launch of the program comes with a substantial cost, but it is our goal to provide a complete program that will be much more affordable. In addition to the M.E.E.T. Ministry curriculum, Gospel Training classes will be held by (Dwayne Lemon) and Literature Evangelism classes by (Andre Waller). God is looking to develop a team that will be trained in all three of these areas to work effectively for Him.

I personally want to apologize for our delay and the initial training not being able to accomodate everyone. We feel God is leading in this new phase of the Center and this will be the most effective way to teach each person this great work. If you still have a desire to be a part of any of the above listed classes, please respond to this email to get on the list for this exciting program. Very soon all of us will be trained to work united for Christ in Atlanta. I am sorry if anyone feels they were left out. This is not our desire. Please forgive us if things were not communicated as effectively as they could have been. We are still a young ministry that needs to be lifted up in prayer continually as we seek His divine guidance.

We are praying earnestly that God will produce an Army of Soldiers to finish His work.

Dr. Thomas Jackson of M.E.E.T. Ministry will be speaking Sabbath, October 10th at the Alpharetta Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He will be sharing his testimony at 10am for Sabbath School and a special message during the Worship Service at 11am. Please join us as we worship together. A Spiritual Assessment in The Last Days-This Friday Evening @ 7:30pm-Jared Thurmon

Jared Thurmon will be leading in a discussion this Friday evening( September 25) at 7:30pm at the center. This will not be a sermon but will be more of a discussion. Please come ready to take a spiritual assessment of your life and what God is looking to do for you, to you, and through you in the days ahead.
